Andrew J. Economos joined Dughi & Hewit, P.C. in July 2008 as an associate. His exclusive practice area includes all aspects of family law and divorce including custody, parenting time, child support, alimony, and equitable distribution of assets and liabilities. Economos also represents individuals involved in domestic violence disputes, both those seeking to obtain a restraining order, and those defending against one. Additionally, he handles all aspects of post-judgment litigation including modifications of alimony and child support, modifications of parenting time, payment of college expenses and requests of a custodial parent to relocate from the State of New Jersey.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Economos was an associate at Goldstein & Bachman, P.A. in Old Bridge, New Jersey. He is certified by the Superior Court of New Jersey to handle mediation and conciliatory matters and has served as an Early Settlement Panelist in Middlesex County. Mr. Economos has appeared before Judges in virtually every county throughout the State. He also served as judicial law clerk to the Hon. Richard C. Camp, J.S.C. (Ret.), Chancery Division, Family Part, Essex County.

Mr. Economos received his juris doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law, where he participated in the Center for Social Justice Pro Bono Program, volunteering his time at the Essex County Public DefenderŐs Office. He also worked as a judicial intern in the Essex County Family Court.

Mr. Economos is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and of the Middlesex County Bar Association.
