Hugh A.Keffer joined Dughi & Hewit in 1992. He directs the firm's automotive and general liability defense group including disputes involving insurance coverage. He advises insurance companies on case law and legislative developments. He participates in the defense of public accounting malpractice claims and in the prosecution of substantial plaintiff's personal injury claims. He serves as an arbitrator for the private arbitration of disputes, as a Municipal Prosecutor in the Hillside Municipal Court, and he is a member of the Springfield Township Committee and the Springfield Township Planning Board. He has served as a member of the Springfield Board of Education.
Mr. Keffer served a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Andrew P. Napolitano, Judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Bergen County, before joining the firm. Mr. Keffer served as a research assistant for the Honorable John J. Gibbons, Professor of Law, Seton Hall University School of Law. Mr. Keffer served as a teaching assistant for James Boskey, Professor of Law, Seton Hall University School of Law. |
