William R. Meiselas

William R. Meiselas joined Dughi, Hewit & Domalewski in May 2019. His practice focuses on civil litigation, primarily in the areas of medical malpractice and general liability defense. He is admitted to practice in the state courts of New Jersey and New York as well as the federal courts of New Jersey and the Greater New York Area.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Meiselas was an associate at the medical malpractice defense firm of Amabile & Erman, P.C., where he represented healthcare practitioners and institutions in both New York and New Jersey. During this time he became adept at navigating the jurisdictional liability issues facing medical providers and entities with multi-state patient populations, including telemedicine.

Mr. Meiselas has a robust background in the medical field which he utilizes in the defense of his clients. Drawing upon his experience as an emergency medical technician and medical student, he deftly counsels and guides his clients though all phases of litigation. He regularly prepares educational presentations and materials for medical providers with the goal of demystifying the litigation process and minimizing liability exposure.

Mr. Meiselas earned his juris doctor from Brooklyn Law School, during which time he gained first-hand experience in the fields of medical malpractice, healthcare regulation, insurance law, general liability, and contract negotiation. He earned his Bachelors of Science in Biological Science, with a minor in Chemistry, from Fordham University.
