Mark A. Petraske

One of the firm’s senior trial attorneys, Mr. Petraske has tried over 70 trials to verdict over the course of his career. Mr. Petraske has handled a wide variety of complex civil litigation, with a special focus on professional liability defense, medical malpractice defense, personal injury defense, disciplinary and licensing issues, and healthcare related matters.

He is certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Civil Trial Attorney, a designation less than 3% of New Jersey attorneys obtain.  Attorneys may be designated as “certified attorneys” if they are able to demonstrate sufficient levels of experience, education, knowledge, and skill in civil trial practice.

Mr. Petraske is recognized by New Jersey Super Lawyers magazine as among the top attorneys in New Jersey in the area of medical malpractice defense. Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, selects no more than 5 percent of the lawyers in the state to receive this honor.

Prior to joining Dughi, Hewit & Domalewski, P.C., Mr. Petraske was a partner in another prominent New Jersey law firm where he focused his practice on medical malpractice defense and healthcare litigation.  Mr. Petraske has also lectured on numerous topics related to civil litigation, professional liability, and the defense of medical malpractice cases.

Mr. Petraske is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Somerset County Bar Association, and had served as Barrister Member of the Mercer County American Inn of Court from 2000 – 2006.  He has also served on Montgomery Township Planning Board Site Plan Committee, Zoning Board of Adjustment, and Transportation Advisory for many years.
