Nicholas Kormann, former Deputy First Assistant Attorney General, Joins Dughi, Hewit & Domalewski, P.C.

Dughi, Hewit & Domalewski, P.C. is pleased to announce that Nicholas KormannNicholas Kormann, the former Deputy First Assistant Attorney General of New Jersey, has joined the firm as a Partner in its Cranford office. As the Deputy First Assistant Attorney General, Mr. Kormann served in one of the top leadership positions in the Department of Law & Public Safety. Before his elevation to Deputy First Assistant Attorney General, Mr. Kormann served as Director of Investigations of Fatal Police Encounters, with the Office of Public Integrity and Accountability.

Prior to joining the Office of the Attorney General, Mr. Kormann served for over a decade in the New Jersey Office of the Public Defender, first as an Assistant Deputy Public Defender and then as First Assistant Deputy Public Defender in the Union Region. He clerked for the Honorable Ronald D. Wigler in the New Jersey Superior Court (Essex County) and worked as an Associate Attorney at Day Pitney, LLP. Mr. Kormann received his B.A. from Rutgers College and his J.D. from Rutgers Law School in Newark.
